We are a NM Virtual Public Charter School and are looking for a full-time Social Worker to service students with disabilities according to IEP plans.. The school social worker is to provide social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of children and their families to maximize the family well-being and the academic functioning of students in the virtual setting.. Provide teletherapy services for special education services. Must have or be eligible for New Mexico PED and Board (LISW) Social Worker license.. Follows methods of school social work practice appropriate to identified concerns, including direct services, collaboration/consultation, and program development.. Provides direct services including School Social Work assessments, crisis intervention, group, individual and family counseling/interventions and information/referral to mobilize resources and services.. Assesses the quality and effectiveness of school social work services and provides documentation, as necessary.. Accesses clinical social work consultation and support from an LISW level 3 school social worker.. Complies with the Code of Ethics and Standards for School Social Work Services from the National Association of Social Workers.
