D. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is required with the ideal candidate qualified to teach undergraduate courses in structural engineering or geotechnical engineering as well as other introductory civil engineering courses.. The successful applicant will have a passion for undergraduate engineering education, assist in program development (course and curriculum development and program assessment), mentor engineering students, especially during their capstone design projects, develop and foster relationships with industry, and recruit and advise students.. Ability to teach across the undergraduate civil engineering curriculum preferred with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering or structural engineering Ability to develop courses, curriculum, and assess and evaluate Professional licensure preferred or ability to obtain within one year..
