The Clerkship Director is responsible for building and fostering a positive, inclusive, academic, and innovative learning environment for all students.. A Clerkship Director designs, manages, and evaluates their course or clerkship in keeping with the overall school learning objectives, directives of the Associate Dean for Clinical Medical Education, recommendations of the Medical Education Committee (MEC), Clinical Curriculum Subcommittee (CCS), Clerkship Operations Team Subcommittee (COT) or any subcommittees, and relevant national society or accreditation recommendations directed to their subject matter.. Work with Associate Dean of Clinical Medical Education and Senior Associate Dean of Medical Education (or designee) to recruit and maintain clinical affiliate teaching sites.. Submit to the CCS and Associate Dean for Clinical Medical Education (or designee) the directors response to the 6-month and 12-month program evaluation review data within thirty days of report request and respond officially to any suggestions for improvement.. Meet at least yearly with the Associate Dean of Clinical Medical Education for performance evaluation.
