Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Variable Track, Assistant or Associate Maternal Fetal Medicine Professor will care for inpatient and outpatient obstetrics patients and provide administrative, clinical, quality and educational leadership for the obstetrics ultrasound unit.. Clinical: High-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, fetal therapy, and perinatal outreach.. Division faculty members are engaged participants in the activities of UNC's Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health ( which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations.. Academic: Actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows through its 3-year American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) approved fellowship program.. Clinical Leadership and Quality: Provide clinical oversight and direction for all MFM ultrasound services, ensure high standards of patient care through developing and implementing protocols and guidelines to ensure evidence-based practice, lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes to enhance service delivery, ensure compliance with all relevant medical standards, regulations, and best practices.
