The Seasonal Education Intern performs the full range of activities required to facilitate revenue-based zoo education programs, program animal handling and occasional animal husbandry assistance.. Under the direction of the Education Coordinator, develop, design, and implement creative, interactive, and age-appropriate educational activities for zoo campers between the age of 4-14, prepare program-specific learning-related materials.. Facilitate early camper check-in and afternoon check-out, including interacting with camper´s parents when appropriate.. Some college credit or a degree in education, biology, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.. EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience as an educator, program facilitator, camp counselor or similar related work experience preferred.

The FSC works under the supervision of the Early Interventionist (EI).. The FSC assists and enables an infant or toddler with a developmental delay / disability and the child's family to receive the rights, procedural safeguards, and services authorized to be provided under the Kansas Infant-Toddler Services program.. Coordinates all early intervention services across agency lines. Assists parents of infants and toddlers with developmental delay / disability in gaining access to and coordinating the provision of early intervention services and other services identified in the IFSP. Complete initial family service coordination training within three months of assuming this role.
