The QC Supervisor must have balance between a tactical and strategic approach to issues and solutions within the disciplines of Metrology and Receiving Inspection will establish and maintain continuous improvement of processes that uphold product and process quality throughout the production value streams and support services.. Knowledgeable in metrology and simple and complex inspection practices, tool and gage application, piece part function and product application.. Plan, lead and manage the Metrology and Receiving Inspection Teams, which are comprised of Metrology and Receiving Inspectors.. The metrology function should coordinate and provide calibration services using both internal resources and outside procured resources.
Support and maintain existing certifications (e.g., SQF, Kosher, Halal, Organic). Support the analysis of quality data to assess product performance and utilize statistical process control (SPC) tools to identify and react to unfavorable trends. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Undergraduate degree in food science, biological sciences, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Certification and/or License – PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner certifications preferred; may be required during course of employment
