This position serves as a subject matter expert on quality inspection processes, advanced measurement tools, and root cause analysis. Performs advanced dimensional inspections of machined components using precision measuring equipment (CMM, optical comparators, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.. Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrology. Solid understanding of statistical process control (SPC), PPAP, and root cause/corrective action methods. Proficient in the use of PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or similar software.
Prepare and analyze all wheat and flour product samples including the chemical testing of ingredients, mycotoxins, and pesticide residuals; the physical analysis of moistures, ashes, falling numbers (amylase activity in flour, sprout damage in wheat), flour stability, pH, and the visual observation of color and sensory observation of odors.. Immediately report any nonconformance and/or deviation to the supervisor or QA manager.. Sample management retention/filing and maintaining retained samples.. High School Diploma with 1 year of quality assurance lab experience in a food processing environment.. At least two (2) years of experience in metrology or quality assurance. At least two (2) years of work experience in QAM or a related optical/mechanical test environment with a heavy emphasis on mechanical testing, precision measurement, calibration, and data analysis preferred. Must be proficient in the use of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) and metrology software. Must have a solid understanding of metrology principles and quality assurance processes. The Lead Auditor / QMS Specialist is responsible for the overall facility internal auditing activities. The Lead Auditor / Quality Management System Specialist all QMS and Audit related activity for the facility, while consulting and advising departments and Associate/Assistant Chief Inspection Engineer / Chief Inspection Engineer / Top Leadership on quality management system gaps and/or improvements by summarizing and reporting quality management system/ Audit activity on a regular basis. Minimum BS degree in Chemistry, Biology or related life sciences field required with minimum 3-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, 2 years of which are pharmacovigilance and/or GVP Quality Assurance. Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred. Knowledge of vendor management and contract management related to PV activities with business partners and external vendors such as Specialty Pharmacies, Patient Support Programs, Named Patient Programs, Market Research, and Market Access is required. Broad knowledge of risk-based quality systems approaches consistent with post-marketing Good Pharmacovigilance Practices.
