1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a Level I trauma center requiring ARDMS and BLS certification. Details Acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/Cardiology department performing General Ultrasound studies Adult and Emergency Department patient population3x12 weekend night shifts from 18:30-07:00 Required to work every weekend On-call required as needed No floating within scope required Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience requiredARDMS and BLS certification requiredARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and RDCS-RVT certifications preferred Active, unrestricted license required at time of application; license required if applicable Experience with Abdominal Aorta, Appendix, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Spleen ultrasound studies required1st Trimester OB/GYN ultrasound experience requiredExperience with Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus, and Vaginal studies requiredExperience with Superficial Masses, Testicles/Scrotum, and Thyroid studies requiredExperience with Paracentesis and Thoracentesis procedures required Renal transplant studies experience required Vascular ultrasound experience required, including Aorta, Carotid, Color Flow, Duplex, Lower Extremity Arterial, and Renal Artery Duplex studies Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and management/lead experience required Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred Previous travel experience required First-time travelers will not be considered
Additional Information:
- Facility is a 562-bed acute care hospital, Magnet-designated, and a Level I trauma center
- Any solid-colored scrubs permittedRTO requests of more than 5 non-holiday days require facility approval
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Floating is required and may include floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
- Previous perm or PRN employees of the facility must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
