About Us:
At Parafin, we're on a mission to grow small businesses. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, but traditional banks often don't have their backs. We build tech that makes it simple for small businesses to access the financial tools they need through the platforms they already sell on. We partner with companies like DoorDash, Amazon, Worldpay, and Mindbody to offer fast and flexible funding, spend management, and savings tools to their small business users via a simple integration. Parafin takes on all the complexity of capital markets, underwriting, servicing, compliance, and customer service for our partners. We're a tight-knit team of innovators hailing from Stripe, Square, Plaid, Coinbase, Robinhood, CERN, and more — all united by a passion for building tools that help small businesses succeed. Parafin is backed by prominent venture capitalists including GIC, Notable Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Ribbit Capital, and Thrive Capital. Parafin is a Series C company, and we have raised more than $194M in equity and $340M in debt facilities. Join us in creating a future where every small business has the financial tools they need.
About the Position:
We're looking for our founding Brand Designer to own Parafin's visual identity across every surface: website, social media, blog, paid ads, video, events, and more. You'll be the creative force behind how Parafin looks and feels in the world. This role is about more than making things look good. You'll bring strategic thinking to brand consistency, help us scale our visual system, and collaborate across teams to produce high-quality work that reflects who we are and the mission we're on. If you love building brands from the inside out and want your work to support small businesses, you'll feel right at home here. This role sits on the design team and partners closely with marketing to bring the brand to life.
What You'll Be Doing:
Own and evolve Parafin's visual identity, maintaining the brand system and building out templates and components. Maintain and scale a brand asset library and style guide so the whole company can stay on-brand.
Concept and execute marketing campaigns across web, social, paid ads, email, blog, and video, from initial idea to final delivery.
Design, build, and maintain website assets and pages, partnering with marketing and engineering to keep our web presence polished, modern, and up to date.
Art-direct and produce video and motion content for social, ads, and web: hands-on or through vendors.
Collaborate with the product design team to accurately represent and market our product, highlighting key features, maintaining visual consistency, and ensuring product visuals reflect the real experience we deliver.
Create event and office materials such as posters, signage, swag, and internal communications.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve how Parafin shows up in the market, finding gaps in the brand system and proposing how to fill them before being asked.
