Laundry AideJob Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team at Nexus of Alton in Alton, IL. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility by ensuring that patient laundry is processed and distributed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:- Wash, dry, and fold patient laundry in accordance with established procedures
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Ensure that all laundry is properly sorted, labeled, and stored
- Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines
- Fold and package laundry in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of laundry processed, including tracking and reporting any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:- 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
