Accounts Receivable Specialist

Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all accounts receivable activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of customer payments. Monitor customer accounts and proactively follow up on outstanding invoices through phone, email, and written correspondence. Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner. Prepare aging and AR reports, providing insights on overdue accounts and collection trends. Reconcile AR accounts to ensure proper application of payments and accurate balances. Perform month-end and year-end AR closing procedures, assisting in financial statement preparation. Assist with cash flow forecasting by providing detailed AR data and analysis. Maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and service. Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and sales teams to ensure accurate billing and collections processes. Provide input on process improvements and system efficiencies.

Preferred Background: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, credit analysis, or collections. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation).Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience in mentoring or supporting junior accounting staff a plus.
