CNC Machine Operator - HAAS, Swiss & Precision Machining

Location: Greater Tampa Bay Area, Florida

Pay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour

Position Overview: ZenTech Consulting is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators for manufacturing opportunities throughout the Tampa Bay Area. We are looking for skilled candidates with hands-on experience operating CNC machinery, including HAAS machining centers, Swiss-style CNC machines, and other precision metalworking equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, understands machining processes, and can produce quality metal components while maintaining production standards and safety requirements. Candidates with experience in CNC milling, turning, Swiss machining, and precision manufacturing are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machines, including HAAS mills, lathes, Swiss-style machines, and other precision metalworking equipment. Load and unload raw materials, workpieces, and finished components. Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent production quality and efficiency. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Inspect finished components for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Perform basic machine adjustments and offset corrections as needed. Identify machining issues, tool wear, and equipment irregularities and communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain production records and follow established quality control procedures. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Work collaboratively with machinists, programmers, supervisors, and other production team members.

Qualifications: Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a metal manufacturing or precision machining environment. Experience with one or more of the following:

• HAAS CNC mills and machining centersCNC lathes and turning centers
• Swiss-style CNC machines
• Other CNC or conventional metal machining equipment

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic CNC program adjustments. Familiarity with G-code and M-code. Experience working with metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys. Experience in high-precision, high-volume, or tight-tolerance manufacturing environments. Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and machine proficiency. Multiple shifts available, including first, second, and third shifts, depending on the facility.
