About the Role:
Color Mate Dispersions Inc is looking for a skilled and motivated Chemical Operator to join our team in Gastonia, NC. This is a hands-on opportunity to play a vital role in the production of high-quality chemical dispersions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to produce dispersion products according to specifications
- Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials including pigments, resins, and additives
- Conduct quality control checks and record batch data accurately
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and safety regulations
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations to supervisors
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transferring raw materials and finished goods
Requirements:
- Prior experience in chemical manufacturing, production, or a related industrial environment preferred
- Familiarity with chemical handling, mixing equipment, and batch processing
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, safety data sheets (SDS), and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards including PPE usage and hazardous materials handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training a plus
