Job Description:
Job Description We are looking for a Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Technician to join our team and support telecommunications and network infrastructure projects in the Seymour, WI area. This is a hands-on field position ideal for someone with experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, fiber optics, network installation, security systems, or related construction/technical work.
What You'll Do:- Install, route, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling
- Work with Cat5e, Cat6, Ethernet, and fiber optic cabling
- Install network racks, cabinets, patch panels, switches, and related equipment
- Install and maintain telecommunications and network infrastructure
- Read blueprints, construction plans, diagrams, and technical schematics
- Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues in the field
- Perform cable testing, labeling, documentation, and quality checks
- Work on commercial, residential, and new construction projects
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Work from ladders, lifts, elevated areas, and in confined spaces when required
- Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers to complete projects efficiently
What We're Looking For:- Hands-on experience in low voltage, telecommunications, structured cabling, fiber optics, networking, security systems, or a related field
- Experience installing or working with Cat5e/Cat6, Ethernet, coax, and/or fiber
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and connectivity issues
- Ability to read basic blueprints, diagrams, or schematics
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in different environments, including construction sites, commercial buildings, and residential properties
- Ability to work at heights and lift/handle equipment as needed
