UAV Site Lead

DEPLOYMENT SITE LEAD (US East coast)UAV Talent is recruiting a Deployment Site Lead to run on-site operations for a deployed UAS programme. You will lead the team on the ground, fly as Pilot in Command, and be the trusted link between the crew, the customer and the stakeholders around them. Hands-on, high-responsibility work, with no two deployments the same.📍 US-based, with CONUS and OCONUS deploymentWHAT YOU WILL DO • Lead the site day to day, keeping the deployed team aligned with the mission and the contract • Fly as Pilot in Command, owning pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight safety • Train and mentor deployed personnel on procedures, compliance and readiness • Act as the main point of contact for the customer, government and military stakeholders • Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues to keep aircraft mission-ready • Hold the line on safety, security and compliance every day • Run site inspections, briefings and status reviews • Manage the practical side too: housing, transport and the welfare of your people • Lead pre and post-deployment briefings, and build contingency plans that keep the mission moving • Support flight operations between deployments through reporting, planning and process improvementWHAT YOU WILL BRING • A bachelor's degree in Unmanned Systems or a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years in lieu of a degree • Minimum 1,000 flight hours as Pilot in Command • Deployed UAS ISR experience • A current DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship required) • Able to obtain an FAA Class II Medical Certificate • Willing to travel up to 100% CONUS and OCONUS • Comfortable operating UAS platforms in varied weather and lightingNICE TO HAVE • Experience with Vigilant Spirit and Quattro FMS • Research and development experience • Technical publication writing experience • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate • Private Pilot Licence (PPL)A competitive salary and company benefits are part of this full-time, permanent opportunity based on the US East Coast.
