JOB SUMMARY:
The Line Lead is responsible for supporting the Team Lead by providing hands-on leadership and operational support to packing associates. This role ensures that designated lines run efficiently and safely while maintaining cleanliness and organization. The Line Lead is expected to proactively identify problems and suggest performance improvements to the Team Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Team Lead in managing daily activities on assigned linesEnsure line is clean, organized, and operating safelyProvide guidance and direction to packing associates during shiftsMonitor line performance and suggest improvementsCommunicate any issues or concerns to the Team LeadAssist in training and onboarding new associatesEnsure packing procedures are followed for quality and efficiencySupport shift changeovers and completion of daily tasks QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or GED equivalent; Some college coursework or leadership training Experience 1-2 years of experience in a production or packing environmentExperience in a leadership or team support role in a food production settingBasic food safety or OSHA certification preferred Skills Strong teamwork and leadership abilitiesAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of safety and sanitation proceduresCapable of multitasking in a fast paced environmentEnglish required; bilingual preferred Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this jobAbility to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasksCold production floor, exposure to machinery, produce Decision Making Authority Delegation of basic tasks to packing associatesReporting issues to Team LeadMonitoring and maintaining safety and cleanliness standardsChanges to line operations or staff assignmentsEscalation of disciplinary or quality concernsImplementation of any procedural changes
