Custom Applicator / Sprayer OperatorGPAC is working with a well-established agribusiness in Pennsylvania that is seeking a Custom Applicator / Sprayer Operator. This position is responsible for accurate crop-input application, dependable equipment operation, and timely field service. The ideal candidate takes pride in application quality, maintains equipment carefully, and brings a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities:- Operate agricultural application equipment to apply fertilizer and crop-protection products
- Calculate application rates and complete mixing, loading, and calibration activities
- Follow product labels, field instructions, and applicable operating requirements
- Monitor weather, field conditions, and boundaries before and during application
- Use guidance systems, rate controls, and application-record technology
- Complete daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs
- Communicate with dispatch, agronomists, and growers regarding field progress
Qualifications:- Experience operating sprayers, spreaders, or related agricultural equipment
- Working knowledge of application rates, calibration, and product handling
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and accommodate seasonal workloads
- Current pesticide applicator credentials preferred; required licensing depends on assigned dutiesCDL and applicable endorsements preferred
