Abaco Building Supply is seeking an organized, proactive Inside Sales & Customer Support Representative to support our growing domestic sales operation. We supply building materials to contractors and construction companies, and we are expanding our customer base throughout South Florida and Florida's west coast. This position will work closely with our outside sales team, customers, vendors, accounting, and warehouse staff to manage the entire order process—from the initial quote through purchasing, delivery, and customer billing. Key Responsibilities:
Support outside sales representatives with pricing, quotations, order processing, and customer follow-up. Prepare accurate quotes based on customer requests, project requirements, vendor pricing, and product availability. Follow up on open quotes and convert approved quotes into sales orders. Prepare purchase orders and place orders with vendors. Confirm pricing, quantities, specifications, and lead times before purchasing. Track vendor orders and coordinate pickups and deliveries with our logistics and warehouse teams. Keep customers and sales representatives informed about order status, delivery schedules, and changes. Resolve order discrepancies, shortages, backorders, and delivery issues. Prepare customer invoices and coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate billing. Maintain organized records of quotes, purchase orders, sales orders, and delivery documentation. Build strong customer and vendor relationships through responsive, professional service.
Qualifications:
Experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, purchasing, or administrative order management. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and deadlines in a busy environment. Clear, professional written and verbal communication. Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, quantities, and order documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn business software. Building materials, construction supply, or contractor sales experience is strongly preferred. Experience with QuickBooks Online or Pipedrive CRM software is a plus.
