Quality Engineer

Pay Rate: $50 to $60 per hour on W2W2 only. No C2C.

Key Requirements: Both manual and automated testing experienceEnd-to-end testing experienceSelenium and Playwright with JavaTest artifact creation, including test case design and executionFunctional testing with UAT experienceFull stack testing experience (front end and back end)

Responsibilities: Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks for UI, API, and back-end validation using Selenium, Cucumber, and related toolsCreate and execute smoke, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests across user stories, applications, and release cyclesIdentify gaps, challenge assumptions, and uncover edge cases to improve product quality and risk coverageDevelop Quality Management plans, test strategies, and test plans, and peer review test cases for each sprint or releasePartner with Product Owners and development teams to validate requirements, ensure test coverage, and lead defect review discussionsMaintain requirement traceability, test cases, test sets, defects, and QA status reporting in approved quality toolsSupport non-functional QA phases, including performance, security, and accessibility testingIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD build and deployment pipelinesProvide guidance on QA strategy, governance, risk management, and best practices across scrum teamsStay current with industry trends and test automation best practicesEducation and ExperienceB.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience executing and managing all aspects of software testingStrong functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applicationsExperience testing RESTful microservices in cloud-based environmentsUnderstanding of cloud databases, NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora), caching (ElastiCache), and SQLTechnical QualificationsTest automation tools: Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, Protractor, Cucumber, TypeScriptMethodologies: Waterfall, Agile, and HybridCollaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, MIROREST API automation, Unix, scripting, and reusable, maintainable test scriptsAWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Glue, Athena, Parquet file formatJenkins and CI/CD pipeline integration (preferred)
