Job Description:
Job Description The Electrical Drafter will support both new product development and ongoing production updates, including incorporation of engineering revisions and manufacturing redlines.
Required Qualifications:- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of drafting experience in industrial electrical or power distribution environments or a BS degree with no experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, electrical drafting standards, wire list generation and revision management
- Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Produce engineering documentation including:
- One-line diagrams
- Three-line diagrams
- Schematic drawings
- Wiring diagrams
- Wire lists
- Interconnection drawings
- Control panel layouts
- Cable schedules
- Bill of materials (BOMs)
- Support design documentation for medium voltage switchgear, protection and control systems, power distribution assemblies, control and relay applications
- Incorporate engineering updates, manufacturing redlines, and production feedback into released drawings
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and support production needs
- Assist with drawing revisions and workflow updates within the PLM system
- Maintain drawing accuracy and compliance with company drafting standards
