AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a contract attorney with 3 - 5 years of labor and employment experience for a long term assignment. 100% remote and could technically live outside of CA, but needs recent CA experience due to the nuances of CA labor law.
About the Role:
There will be depositions and appearances in this role. Candidates should be expected to work 35-40 hours a week. Possible conversion to a permanent employee.
Responsibilities: Handles depositions and court appearances.
35-40 hour a week.
Manages single plaintiff discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower litigation.
Brief motions.
Put forward and respond to discovery, including ESI discovery.
Qualifications: Minimum of three years of experience practicing in California in employment law.
Excellent academic credentials.
Must be Bar Admitted in California in good standing.
Required Skills: Recent California experience due to the nuances of CA labor law.
Experience in single plaintiff discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower litigation.
