Veterinary Technician *Day Shift* - Newton Veterinary Hospital - NJ

What We're Looking For: Our ideal Advanced Level II-III Veterinary Technician has a solid technical foundation and is comfortable with responsibilities including: Venipuncture and blood collection IV catheter placement Patient restraint and handling Medication administration Laboratory sample collection and processing Anesthesia monitoring Surgical preparation and assistance Comfortable with surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring for ER abdominal surgery Dental procedures and patient care Hospitalized patient treatments and nursing care Diagnostic imaging assistance Accurate medical documentation Recognizing changes in patient condition and communicating concerns to the medical team Providing compassionate care to patients and clear communication with clients Working collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary assistants Our Ideal CandidateWe'd love to meet someone who: Has previous veterinary technician experience and a well-rounded technical skillset Is comfortable handling routine technician responsibilities with increasing independence Has experience with surgery, ER abdominal surgeries, anesthesia, dentistry, and hospitalized patient care Is dependable, organized, and able to prioritize in a busy hospital environment Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team Is eager to continue learning and developing their technical skills Is able to work Saturdays as part of their regular schedule New Jersey CVT certification is welcomed but is not required for this position.
