Application Engineer-Bearings

General Position Responsibilities: Oversee and direct all functions of the service facility. Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians as direct reports. Coordinate with the Midwest Service Center to balance workload and direct repairs to the facility best equipped to perform them most efficiently. Support Sales with guidance and technical expertise, answering questions and providing cost and schedule estimates. Provide guidance on spindle failure causes and potential improvements. Review and finalize spindle evaluation reports, determining repair costs for both purchased components and repair labor to formulate quotes. Schedule and assign spindle repairs to Repair Technicians in keeping with their experience and proficiency. Review and evaluate Final Repair Reports and spindle repairs to ensure all work was completed to standards and that the spindle will perform reliably for the customer. Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing application in high-speed rotating equipment is Highly Desired. Specific experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding is highly desired.
