The Department of American Culture & Society at the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in American Studies, starting Fall 2027.Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (regular teaching load of two courses per semester). • Develop and maintain an active research agenda. • Perform professional service consistent with faculty rank and position.
Minimum Qualifications: A PhD completed before August 16, 2027in a relevant discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in American Studies or related social science/humanities discipline. • PhD in hand at time of employment.
