Mergers & Acquisitions Associate
Location: New York, NY or Kansas CityDirect Counsel represents an Am Law 100 firm
Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level Mergers & Acquisitions Associate (3+ years) to join a nationally recognized Corporate practice. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on sophisticated middle-market M&A and private equity transactions while gaining significant responsibility and client exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate transaction execution
- Advise private companies, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies on corporate matters
- Support financings, entity formation, governance, and commercial agreements
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients throughout all phases of transactions
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of M&A and corporate transactional experience at a law firm
- Experience with private equity-sponsored and middle-market transactions preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environmentJD and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $260,000 - $420,000, depending on experience
