Explore Clovis, CAClovis, CA keeps a small-town, old-western feel right up against the much larger city of Fresno, the two grown together along a single dividing street. Diagnostic labs and outpatient therapy offices concentrate along SR-168, the freeway that runs about nine miles southwest into downtown Fresno. The Fresno County city sits in the San Joaquin Valley at the foot of the Sierra, with SR-180 heading east toward Kings Canyon. Fresno Yosemite International Airport is only a few miles southwest. Winter tule fog can settle thick over the valley, worth watching on a morning commute. Known as the Gateway to the Sierras, Clovis gives travelers direct eastbound access toward Kings Canyon and the Sierra high country.
