Ascent is a free, lightweight gameplay recorder built to help PC gamers capture their best moments. We’re looking for a creative freelancer to help grow our TikTok and Instagram accounts through entertaining, original gaming content.
You’ll take ownership of the creative process, from coming up with ideas and capturing footage to editing videos and preparing them for publication.
We’re looking for someone who understands gaming culture, enjoys making short-form content, and can consistently turn an idea into a finished post.
You’ll be responsible for:
Developing content ideas, hooks, and repeatable series that give gamers a reason to follow Ascent.
Recording original gameplay, product footage, voiceovers, and on-camera segments as needed.
Editing engaging vertical videos with strong pacing, clear captions, and appropriate audio.
Writing post captions and maintaining a content calendar.
Scheduling and publishing approved content on Ascent’s accounts.
Reviewing performance and using what you learn to improve future posts.
The content could include funny gaming moments, relatable player experiences, challenges, commentary, and creative ways to feature Ascent. We want the account to have personality and feel at home in the gaming community.
We’d like to start with approximately three original videos per week, adapted for TikTok and Instagram. We’ll provide product access, brand assets, context, and feedback through a regular review process. You should be comfortable generating ideas and producing footage independently.
You’ll be a good fit if you have:
A portfolio of short-form gaming content you’ve personally created.
A strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Familiarity with PC gaming communities, particularly games such as Valorant, League of Legends, Fortnite, or Apex Legends.
A PC setup capable of running games and recording footage.
Reliable communication and the ability to manage a consistent production schedule.
We care about creative judgment, gaming fluency, and the quality of your work. A large personal following isn’t required.
