Job Description (Job ) BACK OFFICE MEDICAL ASSISTANT for PULMONARY Medical Practice in LOS ANGELESJOB DETAILSSupport 3 medical assistants and a patient scheduler with front and back office tasksSpanish Medical interpretation for physicians for Spanish speaking patientsRoom patients and performing basic vital signsPrepare charts for clinic day (retrieving medical records from various portals to have on hand for the visit) Medical records filing from EHR Fax Server to Patient E-ChartHandle medical records requests from insurance, legal, patients, and referring MD'sAssist with Scheduling Follow Up Appts for patients after their visitAssist with prescription refills and prior authorizations for medicationAssist with front office roles as neededREQUIREMENTSMinimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience and an MA DiplomaSpanish fluency with the ability to perform accurate medical interpretation (Korean fluency or dual Spanish/Korean fluency qualifies for higher compensation) Proficiency in taking vitals and recording concise patient medical historyHigh-energy, pleasant, and customer-service-driven approach with patientsAbility to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamStrong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detailExcellent time management and initiative in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and complianceSCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSMonday- Friday Can pick schedule (8:30a-5:00p, 9:00a-5:30p, or 9:30a-6:00p)$27/hr (occasional overtime)
