MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered NurseFull-Time Night ShiftJoin the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-acuity, specialized environment. This 8-bed CVICU provides an excellent opportunity to care for patients following open heart surgery, catheter-based valve procedures, vascular interventions, and thoracic surgeries. ICU or Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (CVIMC) experience is strongly preferred. Our nurses work alongside intensivists, cardiovascular surgeons, advanced practice providers, and a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Qualifications:
ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). This position has a hiring range of : USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
