Product Development Specialist

Location: Bridgewater, CT

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Chemist and / or Manager, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:

• Preparation of adhesives and adhesive additives for production
• Perform Quality Control Testing along with testing of adhesives
• Evaluate, collect and record data
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a electronic laboratory notebook
• Data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results / details; calibration and equipment maintenance
• Tests performance characteristics of substrates using established procedures.
• Perform Lab maintenance
• Key Must Have’s:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field 3 years (or more) of demonstrated laboratory experience
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products; Comfortable and able to work with hazard chemicals while following safe laboratory practices / protocols
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
