Operating Room Registered Nurse position requiring New York State licensure. The role provides quality patient care in a perioperative setting, including patient assessment, safety monitoring, clinical support, and collaboration during 12-hour night shifts. Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage are required.
Job Details
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current New York State Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to provide quality patient care, assess clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs, recognize safety concerns, use patient lifts safely, function effectively in stressful situations, prioritize and delegate, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities; lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills; knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used to maintain a safe and aseptic operating room environment.
Schedule:
Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage are required, including a 30-minute response time for call.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities may include assuming charge nurse duties, implementing safe patient handling practices, applying creative problem-solving skills, and prioritizing and delegating care in a perioperative setting. The assignment is scheduled from 11/16/2026 through 02/17/2027.
