Position Overview:
Under general direction and supervision of the Building & Planning Director, this position works independently to implement the City's development standards, including zoning, subdivision, land development, and other regulations.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning, zoning, geography, environmental studies, or another job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
AICP certification preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain post hire as directed.
Flood Plain Manager Certifications preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain post hire as required or directed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and GIS with the ability to learn other software such as BS&A, Forerunner, etc.
Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
