During tax season (January 1 – April 15) we work hard together, typically 65-70 hours per week after February 1st, and then we actually slow down after April 15th. September 1st through October 15th will most likely require some Fridays and/or longer days. About Peakview CPAs Peakview CPAs is a small Northern Colorado firm preparing about 420 returns a year for individuals and businesses, along with bookkeeping and advisory work. We’re a small team, and it shows: close collaboration, open doors, and people who look out for each other. We’re looking for an experienced CPA or EA who wants real client relationships and a schedule that respects life outside work.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate returns (1040, 1065, 1120), plus related federal and Colorado compliance
- Own your client engagements: communicate directly with clients, manage deadlines, and keep work moving
- Review your work and others’ for accuracy before it goes out the door
- Provide occasional bookkeeping and payroll support for small-business clients (journal entries, reconciliations)
- Work in UltraTax, Qount, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, and QuickBooksWhat You BringActive CPA license or EA credential 3+ years of tax preparation experience, including small-business returns
- Experience preparing 1040, 1065, and 1120 returns
- Working knowledge of cash, accrual, and tax-basis accounting
- Clear written and verbal communication with clients
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Nice to Have1041 experience
- Multi-state filings
- Prior CPA firm experience
- Familiarity with tax research tools
