Maintenance Technician - Evening Shift

Schedule: 3:00 PM11:30 PM

Pay: $26.15$31.14/hour DOE + 8% Shift Differential

Position Overview: Sirius Staffing is seeking experienced Machining Operators for direct-hire opportunities at a leading diesel engine manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS. This role involves operating CNC machinery, monitoring production quality, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities: Operate multiple CNC machines, inspection stations, and related production equipment. Measure and inspect components to ensure compliance with quality standards. Adjust CNC program offsets and manufacturing processes to maintain product specifications. Perform preventive maintenance on filters, automation systems, spindles, and other equipment. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions. Assist with developing and improving quality-control procedures and inspection methods. Collaborate with team members to maintain safe and efficient operations. Adapt to changing job assignments, overtime, and alternate shifts with reasonable notice.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of machining experience. High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years old. Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn additional CNC machines and manufacturing processes. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CNC program offsets and precision measurement tools. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic gage measurements. Strong math skills and familiarity with TS-16949 quality standards. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork. Compensation & Schedule

Hourly Pay: $26.15$31.14, depending on experience. Evening Shift Differential: 8%.
