Transport Biosecurity Technician (Valley City, IL)

Biosecurity Operations Manager Duties & Functions: Provide bullet points in order of importance Operate biodri to ensure biosecurity requirements are met for livestock trailers. Assist with movement of livestock trailers from location to location to meet transport needs. Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment for all employees and to ensure adherence to biosecurity. Manage shop inventory, including inventory tracking and ordering and sourcing parts and supplies. Perform minor repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles, tractors, and other Company owned vehicles. Perform maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks, livestock trailers, and equipment and truck wash related facilities such as separators, pumps, power doors, and the biodri. Inspect tractors and trailers for any defects that may affect safety. Track labor expenses through use of spreadsheets and software to allocate costs to the proper department. Operate equipment such as a skid steer or forklift. Wash and sanitize all aspects of semi tractors and trailers using a high volume hose. Adhere to the principles contained within the Core Values and the Animal Care Stakeholder Commitment Statement. Perform all duties in adherence to biosecurity protocols.
