This opportunity allows healthcare professionals to make a meaningful impact by supporting student wellness, managing health services, and collaborating with educators and families to ensure students can safely access their educational environment. The district is actively reviewing applications for this upcoming assignment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care and health services to students in grades 6–8.Assess and respond to student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries throughout the school day.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies.
Maintain accurate student health records and documentation.
Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, including emergency response planning when needed.
Collaborate with school staff, families, healthcare providers, and administrators to support student well-being.
Promote a safe and healthy school environment through health education and preventative care practices.
Provide nursing support to additional district buildings as needed.
Experience:
- Previous school nursing experience preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents and managing diverse student health needs is a plus.
- Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Education & Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
School Setting: Middle School (Grades 6–8)
Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:40 PM
Start Date: January 6, 2027
End Date: June 4, 2027
