Job Details: Provide direct patient care including physical diagnosis and therapeutic management independently, using physician consultation where appropriate Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care for a panel of patients Elicit patient histories, perform physical examinations, order screening and diagnostic tests, and conduct risk assessments to establish diagnoses Develop and implement individualized plans of care including treatments and medications within defined practice guidelines Monitor patient responses to therapy and revise care plans as needed, with emphasis on patient education, counseling, and self-care encouragement Seek consultation from physicians and other healthcare team members and make appropriate referrals based on patient needs Identify learning needs of patients and staff and collaborate with leadership to prioritize educational programs Participate in interdisciplinary education programs and provide clinical precepting for nursing, nurse practitioner, and medical students Master's degree in Nursing required 1-3 years of related work experience required Active Massachusetts Nursing License required Valid prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA required MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG required American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office required Related primary care practice expertise preferred Must be competent to provide patient care across all age groups from neonatal through elderly
