ASE Master Automotive Service Technician

CarMax is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to perform high-quality diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of used vehicles in a fast-paced retail environment. In this ASE Master-level role, you’ll use advanced tools and service information to accurately diagnose issues, complete repairs, and ensure vehicles meet CarMax safety and quality standards. Diagnose and repair a wide range of used vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools Perform ASE-quality maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to CarMax standards Complete accurate repair documentation and maintain detailed service records Collaborate with service advisors and teammates to deliver timely, customer-focused repairs Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures in a high-volume retail environment Support continuous improvement, training, and adoption of new automotive technologies Help maintain shop tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area Automotive diagnostics Engine repair Brake systems service Suspension and steering repair Electrical system troubleshooting OBD-II scan tool use HVAC service and repair Technical service documentation Safety and compliance procedures Customer-focused communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Master Technician certification Valid automotive technician license (where applicable) EPA 609 refrigerant handling certification preferred Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
