Web Coating Metallizer Operator

Role highlights2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm$22.00–$23.00 per hour based on experience, plus $0.75/hour 2nd-shift differential Overtime requirement: 1–2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) about 1–2 times per month What you’ll own Starting/stopping the metallizer via the control panel Scheduled changeovers and setups for metallization and design imprinting Aligning/fastening rollers and boats with hand tools Threading film; adjusting wire feed, product speed, and line speed In-process inspections: measuring, testing, and documenting per QA procedures Decisive pass/fail calls; partnering with supervisors/technical staff as needed Equipment cleaning between runs; confined space entry may be required (machine specific) Material movement: load, unload, pack, and transport using carts and pallets Operating a forklift/fork truck Beyond the console Use computers to print run sheets and labels; capture QA tests and production data Handle solvents per hazardous material requirements Learn product codes, color numbering systems, and jumbo tags Cross-train with other teams; assist fellow operators Record production quantities per SOPs/job orders; perform quality control checks What you bring High school diploma or GEDManufacturing background and/or mechanical aptitude preferred Intermediate computer proficiency Detail orientation with strong written and verbal communication Willingness to learn and flex across departments within ITW ShineMark, NAFamiliarity with 5S is helpful (not required) Resilience in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment Physical reality of the job Stand and walk frequently for visual inspections; sit as needed Climb ladders and stairs; reach with hands and arms Hear machinery, forklifts, and coworkers; communicate clearly Complete a respiratory clearance exam and use a respirator as needed Lift, push, pull, and move up to 85 pounds Work on a 100% non‑smoking campus; compliance is required Tools of the trade Metallizer machine and control panel Slitters and rewinders Quality testing equipment Forklift/fork truck and carts Hand tools Computer equipmentPPE and respirators
