Job Description:
The Material Handler position supports production operations by maintaining the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Issue all material from stock including transfers, kits, manual pulls, and system transactions done by computer.
Maintains inventory control by identifying, labeling, picking, placing materials and supplies in designated bins and updating ERP records for easy traceability
Performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies
Cycle count whenever necessary.
Manage inventory transfers between locations
Ensure accuracy by performing all transactions correctly and verifying whenever necessary.
Operates hand truck or pallet jack in loading/unloading or picking items as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in inventory control
Deadline and detail-oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as math
Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, Email
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Able to work while standing for long periods of time
Flexible and adaptable; available for a changing schedule
Ability to gather and organize information, to compose letters, memo and correspondence requiring independent judgment
Must possess problem solving and critical thinking skills
Independent thinker w/ability to troubleshoot day-to-day events and plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
Willing to work weekends when necessary
Ability to read, speak, and understand English
Ability to speak Vietnamese a plus
