Job Description
Youth Director:
Teach, encourage, and train the kids, moving them toward maturation as a discipled young Christian.
Run weekly Youth Group meetings, prepare age-appropriate Biblical lessons, etc.
Counsel Youth on an individual basis Biblically, and maintain contact data.
Coordinate, train, equip and motivate volunteers and mentors.
Meet regularly with the Pastor for accountability, oversight, mentoring, assistance, etc.
Prepare year-end reports.
Oversee Youth budget and spending.
Coordinate Youth events, identifying the purpose of each (i.e.; Outreach, Service, Personal Growth, Fellowship, etc.)Work to integrate the Youth Group with the larger church body.
The Youth Director is expected to attend First Covenant Church on a regular basis, if possible, both as an example to the Youth and as a way of staying personally connected with the church family.
Provide/arrange rides to church functions for Youth kids (when necessary).Network with other local ministries (i.e.; YFC YouthNet, etc.).Interviews to begin the first week of October.
