APPLY NOWASSISTANT DESIGNERPelham, NY | Full-Time | Strictly In-House Westchester-based women’s fashion design company is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Designer to support our Head Designer and dynamic design team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical design skills, a creative eye, and experience in women’s apparel design. This is a strictly in-house position based in Pelham, NY. Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite full-time. Please review commute requirements before applying.
Responsibilities:
- Execute on-brand Fashion CADs and design concepts
- Create print patterns in Illustrator utilizing up to 15 colors
- Draw CAD bodies in Illustrator and work efficiently in layers
- Create and edit seasonal linesheets
- Assist with embroidery layout and design
- Support fittings, take detailed notes, and assist in product development
- Collaborate closely with the Head Designer and design team on seasonal collections
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail across all projects
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of women’s apparel experience required
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and product development
- Technical knowledge of FDS sheets
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills required
- Experience creating prints, CADs, and technical design work
- Knowledge of embroidery layouts and design
- Full proficiency with both Apple and PC platforms
- Strong graphic and organizational skills
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Interview Process:
Candidates will be asked to complete a design exercise during the interview process using a garment and print provided by the company.

Portfolio of designs and tech packs must be submitted with application
Must be able to work onsite in Pelham, NYThis position is strictly in-house — no exceptions
