Ingredient Room Technician

What You'll Do: Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position. Prepare recipe ingredients (salads, entrees and/or baked goods) for production recipes 85% Secure products; Weigh or measure products according to recipe; Package and label products; Move products to proper storage or transportation area; Clean and maintain equipment and workspaces. Provide Direction to Student Employees 5% Provide training and guidance to student employees in the production of food. Ensure that student employees maintain standards of safety and sanitation in food handling. Paperwork 5% Maintain accurate records of recipes prepared each day; Issue ingredients used to proper departments; Assist with periodic inventory as assigned. Other duties as Assigned 5% Assist in other areas of the operation as necessary

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; ServSafe or similar food safety course certificate, or pass ServSafe course and exam within the first three months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous food service or related experience.

Skills and Abilities: Detail oriented; Able to work accurately on multiple tasks; Strong math skills, including fraction and conversions with very high degree of accuracy; Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; Able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
