RETREAD TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities: Perform visual and tactile inspections of tire casings to identify defects or non-repairable damage. Use specialized machinery to remove old, worn tread from the tire casing to prepare it for a new layer. Apply patches and rubber compounds to minor injuries in the tire casing. Operate equipment to apply uncured rubber or pre-cured tread designs to the prepared casing. Load and unload tires into pressurized curing chambers (ovens) where the new tread is bonded to the casing. Buff off excess rubber and paint finished tires for a professional look. Accurately track work orders and document repairs for quality assurance.

Qualifications & Requirements: Age - Must be at least 18 years old. Physical Stamina - Ability to lift 100 lbs regularly and up to 150 lbs occasionally (with mechanical aid).

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled plant (hot/cold).Soft Skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a high-output team. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00
