FAQQ:
Do I need management experience to apply? A: Not always. Many Assistant Salon Managers grow into the role from a stylist position. An interest in leadership and supporting others is just as important as prior experience.
Q: Will I still be cutting hair in this role? A: Yes. This role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the team succeed.
Q: Is this a leadership role with growth opportunities? A: Yes. The Assistant Salon Manager role is often a stepping stone toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions.
Q: What kind of training is provided for Assistant Salon Managers? A: Assistant Salon Managers receive training in management and operations through Great Clips University (GCU), along with ongoing support and instruction from salon management.
All Great Clips® salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees. Franchisees, not Great Clips, Inc., are responsible for all hiring and personnel matters at their individual salons. Job Ref #: 2025-55994
