Role Description:
The Creative Production Specialist & Studio Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in Belmont, MI. This role supports day-to-day studio operations, including setting up and breaking down photo and video shoots, managing lighting and camera equipment, and assisting with studio and location productions. The specialist collaborates with directors, photographers, and producers to execute creative concepts, monitor technical quality during shoots, and ensure the studio is safe, organized, and ready for clients. Additional responsibilities may include helping with basic post-production tasks, coordinating equipment inventory, and supporting workflow efficiency across projects.- Pre-Production responsibilities - Building out Google docs for presentations - mood boards and visual direction - Pre-Visualization - Concepts and storyboards - Scripting and scratch VO - Pre-visualization - Sourcing Props and assets - Sourcing locations - Scouting locations - Runner (picking up and dropping things off) - Internal Marketing content and promotion, Project Management, Studio Management - Prepping and working with Cinema Robot and Motion Control Systems- Production responsibilities - Shoot assistant - Grip and Gaff - Shooting Camera operator, 1st AC, - Pulling focus - Audio - Loading in and out - Managing equipment on sets -Managing shot list and shoot flow - Drone Operator - Robot Operator - Loading gear and robot - Driving Van to Locations - Assisting with building Sets and taking them down - Set Design, Props - Capturing BTS content on shoots (360 cam, Phone Video and Stills) - Monitoring or running Audio - Loading in and out - Managing equipment on sets - Switching over sets and shot setups - Lighting setup- Being attentive and lending a hand to crew and clients - Post-Production responsibilities - Keep post production timeline and schedule on track - Managing Files - Managing Cameras and Robot - Editing (Adobe Suite) - Everything from social content, products, to retouching and commercial content photo editing. - Preparing Visual Comps for Decks and concepts. - Studio assistant - Managing studio space - prepping surfaces - building sets - organizing - cleaning - stocking supplies - inventory management - picking up materials - Managing production equipment such as but not limited to Cameras, Robot, Drone.
Qualifications:- Proficiency with studio and production tools such as Ember, Red Komodo, Canon, Capture One and related software or systems.
- Hands-on experience with Lighting setup, modifiers, and safe power management in studio environments.
- Practical knowledge of workflows, including audio/video/photo
- Camera operation skills, including framing, focusing, and basic troubleshooting of photo and video equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with creative teams and clients.
- Ability to lift, move, and set up studio equipment and stand for extended periods as required by production schedules.
- Previous experience in commercial photo/video production or studio environments is preferred.
