Job Description:- Traveling General Automotive Technician – A Technician
- As aGeneral Automotive Technician, you will service a broad range of vehicle repair needs, diagnose performance issues, and provide technical support across multiple AAMCO locations. This position is atraveling A Technician, supporting multiple locations as needed.
- Position Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of automotive systems.
Remove and reinstall transmission systems.
Perform general mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing.
Assist other technicians with complex technical repairs and troubleshooting.
Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and recommended repairs to Service Writers, Managers, and other technicians.
Accurately document diagnostic findings to support repair estimates and customer recommendations.
Travel between AAMCO locations to provide technical support and assist with repairs.
Stay current on new vehicle technology, diagnostic equipment, tools, and repair techniques.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3+ years of experienceas a General Automotive Technician.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Own professional-grade tools necessary to perform general automotive repairs.
Strong experience with brakes, tune-ups, A/C systems, and other general automotive repairs.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong diagnostic and drivability testing skills.
Ability to safely operate and maintain shop tools and equipment.
Ability and willingness to travel between multiple AAMCO locations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide technical support to other technicians.
