Overview: Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Shift Education Level High SchoolDescriptionBindery Apprentice Core Job Duties: Assist in the setup and operation of bindery equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, and related finishing devicesLearn to read and follow job ticket instructions to ensure work is completed accurately to specificationsPerform quality checks on finished materials to verify trim, fold, and stitch accuracySupport experienced bindery operators with make-ready, adjustments, and changeoversStack, bundle, and move printed materials through the bindery workflowMaintain a clean, organized, and safe bindery work areaTroubleshoot basic mechanical or production issues and escalate when necessaryWork collaboratively with press, bindery, and shipping teams to meet production deadlinesWillingness to work overtime as needed to support production schedulesQualificationsQualifications / RequirementsMechanically inclined with the ability to learn and operate industrial bindery equipmentWillingness to be trained on multiple bindery machines and finishing processesAbility to read, understand, and follow written instructions from job ticketsComfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environmentAbility to lift up to 40 pounds, and regularly bend, twist, reach, and stand throughout the workdayReliable attendance with flexibility to work overtime as requiredPrior printing or bindery experience a plus, but not required (training provided)
