Event Staff SupervisorResponsibilitiesProvide excellent guest service to fans attending Ohio State eventsSchedule event staff during an assigned athletic or special event, based on deployments provided by Event Management staffVerify attendance of staff and complete timesheets for eventsAttend annual Operations Meetings for assigned sportsParticipate in emergency drills or table top exercises produced by the Department of Public SafetyProvide direct supervision to assigned crew of event staff at each eventEnsure excellent guest service is being provided to guests by your staffAct as a second level of support to event staff to resolve guest issues in your assigned areaProvide direct coaching and training to the staff assigned to your areaEnsure that the staff assigned to you comply with policies & procedures included in the Event Staff Pocket Guide/ManualScanning, counting and checking tickets at athletic contests and special eventsConducting security screening of guests entering our facilitiesDirecting and assisting guests to their seats or to find other amenities provided inside the facilityDirecting and assisting guests to services outside of the facility (roadways, restaurants, hotels, etc.)Assist with the enforcement of NCAA, Conference, University, and Athletic Department rules and regulationsRecognize and check credentials, limit access to restricted areas of facilitiesBe an expert of and an advocate for Ohio State Athletics & the Schottenstein CenterQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderMinimum 3 years of experience as an event staff member, or equivalentExperience managing othersMust be able to stand on your feet for 4 hours or more, indoors and outdoors, rain or shineAbility to maintain a positive attitude at events at all timesAbility to focus on listening and satisfying our guestsAbility to maintain and support open communication with Event Management staffAn interest in working with guests and fellow staff of varying backgroundsExcellent verbal communication skillsExcellent problem solving abilityLocation: Schottenstein Center (0081)
