Responsibilities:
The Payment team of U.S. Data Security department of TikTok provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on - to ensure that users have a smooth and secure payment experience on TikTok platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for the health of our financial ecosystem. You will dive into vast datasets to identify sophisticated FinTech fraud typologies in real-time—such as card testing, synthetic identity clusters, and account takeovers (ATO)—and translate these findings into robust operational processes. However, your goal isn’t just to manage manual reviews; it is to resolve manual bottlenecks. You will work with product and engineering to implement AI-driven tooling and AI Agents to automate the ingestion of dispute evidence and payment signals, ensuring our response to fraud is as fast as the attacks themselves.
Key ResponsibilitiesFraud Investigation: Analyze user behavior, device fingerprints, and login patterns to identify ATO (Account Takeover) and collusion. Build automated triggers to freeze suspicious accounts before financial loss occurs. Perform some hands-on risk reviews for high-value transactions and complex cases to stay grounded in the latest fraud trends.
Chargeback & Dispute Strategy: Oversee the end-to-end contestment process. Use data to identify winnable chargebacks, automate the evidence-gathering process to improve win rate, and improve system performances of the automated representment.
SOP Design & Optimization: Develop and maintain rigorous Risk Operations SOPs. Conduct gap analyses on existing manual reviews to determine where human intervention is required versus where AI can take over.
AI and Automation Implementation: Identify opportunities to replace manual workflows with AI agents. Partner with Engineering to implement solutions such as OCR, LLM-based document parsing, and automated risk scoring.
